ActiveXperts solution to monitor Microsoft Forefront

ActiveXperts Network Monitor monitors the status of the MS Forefront services. Microsoft Forefront is a software suite by Microsoft to protect complete networks, network servers (e.g. Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint Server) and IP devices.

An MS Forefront check requires the following parameters:

  • Services - A list of MS Forefront services that should be running on the target server;
  • Processes - A list of MS Forefront processes that should be running on the target server;
  • Performance Counters - A list of MS Forefront performance counters that should be monitored;
  • WMI Performance Counters - A list of MS Forefront WMI counters that should be monitored.
